Crispy Perilla Leaf Pancakes (Kkaennip Jeon)
Perilla leaves have a unique aroma and flavor that make them a favorite ingredient in Korean cooking. These simple Perilla Leaf Pancakes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They make a delicious side dish and are easy to prepare with just a few ingredients.

- In a mixing bowl, combine the Korean pancake mix and water.
- Stir well until the batter is smooth.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a small amount of cooking oil.
- Coat each perilla leaf with batter. Place two coated leaves together to make one pancake.
- Arrange the pancakes in the pan and cook until golden brown.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm and enjoy! 😃

My Tip
These pancakes are especially delicious when served with steamed rice and a simple soy sauce dipping sauce. They are best enjoyed fresh from the pan while still warm and crispy.
