 This kabocha squash porridge is warm, creamy, and very comforting. It’s perfect for a light meal or a cozy side dish on a cold day.

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup mashed kabocha squash
  • 1 cup sweet rice (soaked)

πŸ‘©‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Add water, mashed kabocha squash, and soaked sweet rice into a cooking pot. Stir everything well with a spatula.
  2. Turn the heat to high and bring it to a boil.
  3. Remove the lid and stir frequently to prevent sticking or burning.
  4. Once it boils for 2–3 minutes, lower the heat to low. Cover the pot with a lid and continue cooking. Stir often while it simmers.
  5. Cook for about 20–25 minutes, until the rice becomes soft and the porridge turns thick and smooth.
  6. Add salt, sugar, or both to taste.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
